…or what most would call “I ran another half marathon and then took 5 months off from EVERYTHING.” Why does this happen after every single race I do?
Well, the good news is, I’m back on the horse!!! Woohoo! And I’m going Paleo at it. I weighed myself Monday at 147.6 and weighed myself today at 144. I’d say the proof is in the pudding…er…the meat:)
Think good, eat good, feel good.

Yes, yes it has.
Ordered this on Amazon and it came today. I mixed. I drank. I ran.
5.5 miles- 56 minutes
One word: Superduperfantasticawesomeness
Does this happen to anyone else after running a half marathon (or any other distance for that matter)??
My legs keep trying to get comfortable and I keep telling them that no matter what position they are in, there will be pain. They don’t quite seem to understand.
2:02:37<—-that right there boys and girls is a new personal record!
The weather was beautiful, the crowd was great and my legs were on a roll. I’m still on my runners high (and I know this because I’ve thought about running a full marathon next). The feeling you get when you cross that finish line makes every mile you run up until this point sooooo worth it! Anyone out there toying with the idea of committing to a race of any kind…..do it. I promise you won’t regret it.
And now I nap.
Who’s ready for (half) marathon Sunday? This girl!
Now let’s hope I can sleep. Night ya’ll:)
This just happened. Maggie Moo’s better batter with cookie dough. Ah-ma-zing!
Carb loading for Sunday’s half marathon. I heard ice cream makes you run faster. No? Oh well it was still delicious:)
I haven’t posted a new update in ummm…forever.
I ran the 5K with my dear friend Angie a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome! Since it was my first official 5k I just wasn’t sure what to expect. How do I pace myself for such a short run? I started at about a 9:30 pace and sped up gradually as I got closer to the finish. It was a short 1.5 mile there and back route on a pretty narrow path so passing people (because I’m so fast right?) wasn’t the easiest. Okay let’s be honest….passing people wasn’t really going to happen anyway…but I like to blame it on the size of the path.
My unofficial time was 27:29. I can still call it a personal record even if it was my first right?!?! (oh and did I mention I ran 4.5 miles before the 5k because it was a training day?)
*The picture is of me (all red and sweaty), Angie’s friend Amanda and Angie before the race.
My 3rd half marathon is this Sunday, May 1st. I ran this same half two years ago with a time of 2:06 and I really, really want to beat that time! Hopefully these short little legs of mine will bust out some lightning fast splits!
Happy running ya’ll!
